Building a better Saskatoon community with day of caring

SASKATOON – Volunteers are out in full force as part of the United Way’s annual day of caring. Volunteers started the day in Saskatoon with a kick-off breakfast and then headed to locations throughout the city to help with odd jobs.

The core neighbourhood youth co-op received a spring cleaning, with volunteers tidying up the outside, cleaning the kitchen and repainting walls.

United Way officials say the day of caring is about working together and building the community through volunteerism.

Over 150 people from 15 businesses and labour partners took part in the day of caring.
