WATCH: The White House briefing room was briefly evacuated on Tuesday after a bomb threat was called into police, the Secret Service said.
TORONTO – The U.S. Secret Service ordered the evacuation of the White House press room during Tuesday afternoon’s media briefing.
Reporters were told to leave the press room just after 2:00 p.m.
Photos from the scene show reporters walking out while the Secret Service conducted a K-9 sweep.
An “all clear” was given just after 2:30 p.m.

Tuesday morning, police searched two U.S. Senate office buildings after receiving reports of suspicious packages, Reuters reported.
The Secret Service would not say what prompted the evacuation.
Evacuations at the White House are rare but not unprecedented.
