SaskTel has issued a warning to its customers about an email phishing scam from a third party.
Customers are advised in the email they have received a “new Security message from SaskTel” and a link is provided.
SaskTel says customers then clicking on the link are taken to a fake login page that looks almost identical to the official SaskTel.net email account login page.

Officials with the company say anyone attempting to log in could leave themselves open to having their user name and password harvested.
Once the customer has logged using the fake page, they are re-routed to SaskTel’s actual email platform, leaving them unaware their information has been compromised.
SaskTel is currently working to block the illegal activity and says customers should not click a link in an email that asks them to log in to a SaskTel.net account.
Customers who have already clicked on the link, or are not sure if their account has been compromised, should change their password as soon as possible by logging into their account at sasktel.net.
