MONTREAL – Montreal mayor Denis Coderre is paying tribute to Al Pacino by giving the American actor a key to the city.

“I am very happy to hand Al Pacino the key to our city,” Coderre said in a statement.

“I have been a fan of his work as an actor for many years now. It will be an honour to shake his hand and welcome him again to Montreal.”

After presenting the actor with a key to the city at a brief ceremony at Montreal City Hall on Sunday, the mayor will “spend more time with the Godfather as they both attend the Formula 1 Grand Prix.”
