CALGARY – The man accused in the shooting death of a young woman outside a downtown bar last year has been ordered to stand trial.

Police say Farah was an innocent bystander, and had simply been out enjoying a night with friends.

Ibrahim was originally charged with discharging a firearm in connection with the case, but the charge was later upgraded.

On Wednesday, a judge decided there was enough evidence presented in his preliminary hearing for him to stand trial.

His trial date has been set for July 31st, 2015.
