Unlicensed driver plows into Chase school bus

Several children were injured when a school bus was struck head-on by a mini-van in Chase Monday afternoon.

RCMP say a mini-van slid into the oncoming lane on a blind corner and struck the bus, which was on its way from school after 3 p.m. with 37 students on board.

The collision sent both vehicles off the VLR Road.

About six students sustained minor injuries while the three youth in the mini-van were taken to Kamloops hospital with moderate injuries. They were not wearing seatbelts.

RCMP say the mini-van driver did not have a valid driver’s license.

Police continue to investigate.
