CALGARY – The trial for a former Calgary police officer accused of sexually abusing a young girl began on Tuesday.
Stephen Huggett is charged with invitation to sexual touching and sexual interference with a child under 14 years.
The charges stem from several alleged encounters in the 1990s said to involve a seven-year-old girl.
On Tuesday, the alleged victim broke down while testifying. She told court Huggett frequently showered with her, gave her alcohol and touched her inappropriately.
