PENTICTON – A bolt of lightning hit a large pine tree on Huth Avenue in Penticton Friday afternoon. The Penticton Fire Department says the lighting caused the tree to split in half and fall onto a nearby shed, engulfing the structure in flames. Fire crews received the call about the blaze shortly before 2:30 p.m. The fire has now been contained. No one was injured in the incident.
