WINNIPEG — St.Vital Centre was evacuated late Wednesday afternoon.
Brina Gervais was shopping in the mall at the time and said around 5:45 p.m. all the stores turned off their lights and closed.
“As I walking around employees looked worried and were on their phones,” she said. “Cops were standing at entrances escorting people out.”
Gervais said police didn’t tell her anything when she asked what was going on.
Winnipeg police sent out a tweet just before 7 p.m. that said a suspicious threat was investigated and determined unfounded.
