EPCOR offers contest to help clear a path for meter readers

 EPCOR is asking for your help keeping their employees safe, and you could be rewarded for your effort.

Meter readers say snow and ice are just some of the hazards they face every day.

Snow-covered holes, forgotten dog toys, and even crazy carpets have caused trouble for some meter readers.

So the power company is offering up a reward for those who keep the path to the meter cleared.

“It’s just really nice to have a clear path to your power and water meter,” says EPCOR meter reader Peter Shepert, “so we can do the job safely and don’t have to worry about doing the job safely as well as staying warm out here, just so we can get a good, accurate reading so there’s no issues with your bill situation.”

EPCOR employees that find clear paths will leave behind door hangers with a code that can be entered online for a chance to win a snow blower. You can also enter a photo of yourself clearing your path for a chance to win an iPad.
