Algonquin Blvd. W. in Timmins voted Ontario’s worst road

WATCH ABOVE: CAA released its worst roads list and despite repairs to an already decrepit roadway, Dufferin Street makes the list for the 7th time in the last 12 years. Angie Seth reports.

TORONTO – The CAA South Central Ontario (CAA SCO) has revealed Algonquin Blvd. W. as the worst road in Ontario for 2015.

The online campaign saw a 26 per cent jump in votes with 90 per cent of participants saying potholes and crumbling pavement were the reason why they voted.

Last year, Dufferin Street in Toronto was voted the worst for a third straight year but dropped to number three in 2015.

“We are pleased to see the City of Toronto has begun road resurfacing along Dufferin Street,” said Caroline Grech, Government Relations, CAA South Central Ontario (CAA SCO) in a media release.

“Although Dufferin and the City were bumped from the top spot by focused efforts in some communities, just over 300 roads in the City of Toronto were nominated, demonstrating the need for Council to keep infrastructure as a top priority.”

  9. Dominion Rd., Fort Erie
  10. Bayview Ave., Toronto
