Winnipeg Blue Bombers release duo

WINNIPEG — With the start of training camp a mere two weeks away the Winnipeg Blue Bombers continue to finalize their training camp roster releasing two players on Friday.  International defensive end Marvin Booker and international receiver Tyrone Goard were both let go.

Booker is 25-years-old and signed with the football club last Septemeber.  He appeared in four games in the fall making two tackles and one sack.

Goard just signed with the team back in February and has never appeared in a CFL game.  The 25-year-old played last season in the Arena Football League with the Pittsburgh Power and also spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2013.

Quarterbacks and rookies report for the start of rookie camp on May 27th, while veterans report for medicals on May 30th with the first on-field session the following day.

Meanwhile former Blue Bombers head coach Tim Burke has resigned his position as defensive co-ordinator with the Toronto Argonauts with the team citing personal reasons for his departure. Former Blue Bombers defensive co-ordinator Casey Creehan will take over for Burke.
