The students celebrated the money they raised by having Leboldus High School’s “Good Buddies Blues Band” come in and perform.

A cheque was presented to a representative from Special Olympics Saskatchewan.

Afterwards, the students went for a walk on Rochdale Boulevard to raise awareness for the charity.

Teachers have noticed how the students have consistently shown up to support the charities through the past 19 years.

David Ripplinger is the principle of the high school, and while he has only been there for two years, he is proud of the student participation.

“What I’ve seen again this year is the terrific things that I saw last year,” said Ripplinger. “Students want to be involved in not only supporting their own health and well being, but supporting others in our community.”
