Keystone Air Services will keep flying

 

Keystone Air will keep flying for now despite Tuesday’s deadly plane crash in northwestern Ontario that killed all but one on board.  

Transport Canada says it has not suspended Keystone Air’s operator certificate during the investigation by the Transportation Safety Board.

The plane, which departed from Winnipeg bound for a remote northern community crashed into a frozen lake.  

Four of the five people on board were killed, including the pilot.  

An investigation is now underway to figure out what went wrong.

Transport Canada tells Global News it has appointed an observer to oversee the Transportation Safety Board investigation.   

Transport Canada says it will not hesitate to take immediate action if safety issues are identified.
