REGINA – Most Reginans already know him as an Olympic medalist and reality TV star, and now professional snowboarder Mark McMorris is poised to leave a lasting legacy on the Queen City.

The city has approved McMorris’ name to be used for the future naming of a street or park.

McMorris is one of the world’s best snowboarders having won three gold medals at the X-Games and a bronze medal at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. Mark and his brother Craig also starred in a reality TV series titled ‘McMorris & McMorris’.

McMorris is the second young celebrity from Dr. Martin Leboldus High School to receive such an honour. Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany is also set to have a street named after her.
