One man is dead after a small plane crashed into a Surrey field this afternoon.
It happened around 3:10 p.m. near King George Highway and Colebrook Road, near the King George Airpark. Witnesses reported seeing the plane fly northeast, turning to the east when it went down.

Surrey RCMP, Fire and Emergency Health Services were immediately dispatched to the scene, but the pilot was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim, believed to be the pilot, was an adult male, but no other information about him has been released at this time. There were no other people in the small plane.
Anyone who saw the crash is asked to call Surrey RCMP.
