Vancouver firefighters battled a large roof fire at a Vancouver church Thursday.
The three-alarm fire was at “The Church in Vancouver” at 105 East 50th Avenue and appeared to be confined to the roof. Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services say it was reported by people who were doing roof repairs at the time.

More than 50 firefighters battled the blaze, attacking it from the ground and from the air. As more of the roof was consumed by the fire and doused with water, parts of it collapsed.
