TISDALE, Sask. – A fire has extensively damaged a motel in a Saskatchewan community that is grieving the murders of a young mother and her three children. Firefighters say smoke and flames were shooting several metres into the air when crews arrived early Thursday morning at the Country Side Inn in Tisdale.
There were no guests in the motel and there were no reports of any injuries.

The blaze was brought under control in about three hours.
The fire happened just a few hours after more than 250 people had attended an emotional vigil for Latasha Gosling and her children Jenika, Landen and Janayah.

Their bodies were found last week in their mobile home, which is near the motel.
RCMP have said the man who killed them took a six-month-old baby from the home and drove to a residence in Prince Albert, where he killed himself, but spared the child.
