When they arrived, firefighters found smoke and flames coming from the soffits of the single storey home.

Two men who were in the home were able to get out safely when they smelled smoke; no injuries were reported.

Fire crews were able to pull down the ceiling of the home and extinguish the blaze.

The home suffered both smoke and fire damage, and officials say it will be uninhabitable until major repairs have been completed.
