Alberta Election 2015: PC’s Richard Starke wins Vermilion-Lloydminster

PC incumbent Richard Starke has kept his seat in Vermilion-Lloydminster.

Starke won decisively with 47 per cent of the vote to Wildrose opponent Danny Hozack’s 34 per cent with a majority of polls reporting.

Voters in the Vermilion-Lloydminster riding were choosing between just three candidates: the PC’s Richard Starke, NDP candidate Saba Mossagizi and Wildrose Party candidate Danny Hozack, who also ran and lost against Starke in 2012.

This riding, which includes Lloydminster, Viking, Marwayne and Vermilion, has exclusively elected PC MLAs since it was created prior to the 1993 election.

  • Progressive Conservative: Richard Starke (Incumbent)
  • NDP: Saba Mossagizi
  • Wildrose: Danny Hozack
