2015 SONiC BOOM music festival lineup announced

EDMONTON — Ellie Goulding, Alexisonfire and Tenacious D are among the headliners announced for this year’s SONiC BOOM Alternative Music Festival.

More than 17 bands will perform over the two-day festival on September 5 and 6, which for the first time will not be at Northlands. Instead, the festival is moving across the street to Edmonton’s Borden Park, due to demand for a more comfortable venue.

Tickets go on sale Friday, May 1 at 10 a.m. Prices range from $180 and $200 for a general admittance weekend pass, to $300 for a VIP pass.

Details can be found at sonicboomfestival.com. Radio station Sonic 102.9 FM launched the rock festival in 2008. Previous headliners have included Linkin Park and Blink 182.
