HALIFAX – An electrical services company has been found guilty of two occupational health and safety offences after a fatal accident nearly two years ago.
Christopher Boyle was electrocuted while working at a plaza on Chain Lake Drive in Halifax in May of 2013.
R-D Longard Services was charged with two offences including failing to take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances to provide information necessary to Boyle’s safety.
The other offence was failing to ensure an electrical installation was serviced, repaired or dismantled according to code.
The provincial court convicted the company of both charges.
