Fire at a bible camp near Prince George

Workers at the Ness Lake bible camp north of Prince George are beginning the cleanup after a massive fire destroyed the camp’s main building.

Twenty-five students and about 20 staff members were at the camp when the fire broke out on New Years Eve.

Firefighters cleared a large area around the camp for fear of propane tanks exploding.

No one was hurt in the fire and only one building was destroyed, but camp organizers say the building housed the gymnasium and dining hall and was central to the camp’s operations.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
