LAVAL – Arson investigators are trying to get to the bottom of a fire in a residential property just north of Montreal.
The bungalow on Guy Street in the Fabreville district of Laval was firebombed Sunday night.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 11 p.m. Sunday evening.
The owner of the house, described by police as a man in his 40’s, seems to have had a textile workshop in the basement.
Police say that a molotov cocktail was thrown into the basement, destroying the workshop.
The property suffered extensive damage, but the owner and his two sons were not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
