EDMONTON — RCMP believe alcohol and speed were factors in a rollover that killed two men near Oyen Saturday morning.
RCMP were called to the single-vehicle rollover on Highway 895 near Township road 280 around 8:15 a.m.
Police say two men, ages 22 and 23, were thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
A collision analyst determined the vehicle was heading north on Highway 895 when it “failed to negotiate the turn” and rolled. The two men were the only people inside the vehicle at the time.
The names of the victims will not be released.
Oyen is located about 300 kilometres east of Calgary.
