Apple talking with Canadian banks to launch Apple Pay this fall: report

TORONTO – The Wall Street Journal says Apple Inc. is taking steps towards launching its mobile payments service in Canada this fall.

The paper’s unidentified sources said Apple is looking at November for a potential Canadian launch of Apple Pay.

The paper said fees and security issues are sticking points but the banks are open to making a deal.
