REGINA – Fire crews were called to 1242 McVeety Drive for a bedroom fire early Saturday morning.
The residents were home at the time, and called 911 around 2 a.m. to report the fire.

The blaze was put out very quickly according to the fire marshal, and nobody sustained any injuries.
Early investigation shows the culprit may have been a space heater kept too close to combustible material, like clothes, furniture, or bedding.
Regina fire is reminding people space heaters should be kept at least one metre away from any other objects.
