Prostate cancer is the most common cancer affecting men in Canada. At 6:45 a.m. the Atlantic Branch of Prostate Cancer Canada will join us to talk about a fundraising event the organization is hosting and to explain what the funds raised will go towards.

A team of doctors, nurses and physiotherapists from Nova Scotia are heading to Haiti later this month. They are part of Team Broken Earth, a Canadian volunteer organization that sends medical teams to Haiti to help deliver and improve health care in the impoverished country. At 7:15 a.m. two of the team members from Halifax will tell us more about the program and how you can help.

A weeklong course to train PTSD dogs and their new handlers on how to get the most out of their new partnership will begin this Monday in Halifax. At 8:15 a.m. Medric Cousineau with Paws for Life and Rebecca Santanna with the Nash Project will tell us all about what that training involves.

And at 8:45 a.m. it’s all about spring fashion trends. Anna Gilkerson, the owner of Make New, will show off some different styles and tell us all about her unique way of running a thrift shop.
