WINNIPEG – A decades-old tradition will be resurrected in Winnipeg when Jets fans don white for the playoffs for the first time since 1996.
Tickets for games three and four of the Western Conference quarterfinals, which will be played in Winnipeg, go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m., the Jets organization announced after the Calgary Flames win over the Los Angeles Kings Thursday ensured the Winnipeg team a playoff spot.

True North Sports and Entertainment, owner of the Jets, also signalled it would embrace fans’ tradition of wearing all white during the playoffs.
Whiteout banners featuring players standing in falling snow quickly went up outside the MTS Centre, the Jets’ arena, early Friday morning.
“Our team. Our tradition,” the banners say.

The Jets’ official website adopted a white motif with the same player photos and its Twitter account tweeted information about playoffs with the hashtag #WPGWhiteout.
Season-ticket holders have also already received emails about their playoff tickets.
