An old playoff rivalry will be renewed next week.

The Vancouver Canucks will play the Calgary Flames in the first round of the NHL playoffs, as both teams won their games Thursday to bring some clarity to the regular season standings in the Pacific Division.

The Canucks defeated the Arizona Coyotes 5-0 in their second-to-last game of the regular season. Yannick Weber scored two goals, while Eddie Lack made 28 saves for his second shutout of the year.

The last time the two teams met in the playoffs was the 2004 conference quarterfinals, when the Flames eliminated the Canucks in Game 7 of overtime. The Canucks will likely host the series, but it depends on the results of the final regular season game of the year for both years.
