No arrests yet in Surrey, B.C. shooting that left a 28-year-old man dead

SURREY, B.C. – Police say they have yet to make any arrests in a shooting in Surrey, B.C. that left a 28-year-old man dead.

Sgt. Jennifer Pound of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says that early Saturday morning, police responded to reports that a man had been shot at a house party.

She says when they arrived on scene, police and paramedics found the man dead.

Pound says it appears the victim died because of a gunshot wound, but an autopsy is being done to confirm the official cause of death.

She says the victim did not have a criminal record.

The victim’s name has not been released because his family has yet to be notified.
