TORONTO – Toronto councillors are considering a motion that would more than double rush hour traffic fines to combat gridlock.
The anti-congestion motion would raise the fine for stopping or parking illegally during rush hour to $150 from $60.

It’s part of a plan to tackle gridlock in the downtown core during the morning and afternoon rush hours.
Rush hour is considered to be between 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Council is also considering an increase in the fine for blocking a bike lane to $150 from $60. (680News)
