Saskatoon man charged with child luring

SASKATOON – A Saskatoon man is spending his birthday in a Saskatoon jail. Gregory Howard Prescott, who turns 66 on Tuesday, is facing a child luring charge following an investigation by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit.

The investigation into Prescott’s activities and intentions was launched after members of the ICE unit discovered what they say was an inappropriate ad posted online.

ICE unit members and Saskatoon police arrested Prescott without incident on April 2.

Prescott made his first court appearance on Monday and is being held in custody until his next appearance on Wednesday for a show cause hearing.
