MONTREAL – Traffic woes are almost certainly in the works for the almost 300,000 commuters who use the Turcot Interchange every day.
Two ramps will be closed Monday evening to allow workers to perform some much needed repairs on the structure.
The ramp leading to Highway 15 north from Highway 20 will be completely closed at 11 p.m.
The ramp heading to Highway 15 south from Highway 720 west will close at 11:30 p.m.
They will remain close until July.
Transports Quebec has already warned commuters that some night and weekend works will close several other ramps this summer as well.
In March, a $1.8 billion investment was announced to rebuild the roads in the city for the next two years, with a large chunk of the money going towards the Turcot.
