Public meeting on impact of Turcot Interchange rebuild

MONTREAL – A public meeting is planned for Thursday evening to discuss how the rebuilding of the Turcot Interchange will affect local residents.

The demolition and rebuilding of the Saint-Jacques overpass is expected to cause the complete closure of Saint-Jacques Street between Girouard Avenue and Decarie Boulevard for approximately two years.

Representatives from the Quebec Ministry of Transport, the city of Montreal and the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) will be on hand to provide information on what residents can expect in terms of the work to be completed and details on how authorities hope to reduce its impact on the quality of life in surrounding neighbourhoods.

The meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, May 15 at 7 p.m. at the Saint-Raymond Community Centre.
