Air Canada flight from Toronto to Vancouver delayed over disruptive passenger

TORONTO – A passenger was escorted off an Air Canada flight from Toronto to Vancouver prior to takeoff Thursday evening after a verbal altercation with a member of the flight crew.

AC flight 137 was scheduled to leave Toronto at 6:00 p.m. but the pilot turned back to the gate when a dispute ensued between a passenger and a flight attendant. Peel Police said the incident did not involve any physical altercations.

The passenger was escorted off the Boeing 777 by Peel Police and no charges were laid in the incident. A police spokesman did not know whether the incident involved a man or woman and called it a “very minor thing.”

According to the Air Canada website the flight left nearly 90 minutes late from Toronto.
