MONTREAL – Montreal police helped a mother give birth on the side of a highway around 6:30 Thursday morning in St-Leonard.
The woman was in labour and on her way to hospital when the baby decided he needed to get out immediately.

Her husband pulled over on the service road of the Metropolitan near Lacordaire and called 911.
Police arrived first and helped deliver the baby before Urgences Sante took over.
The baby boy, who will be named Jayden, is doing great.
