TORONTO — Call them video matzah-pieces.

Two Jewish music groups have released parodies of the ubiquitous hit “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars that showcase the religious holiday to a new generation.

At Aish.com, “Passover Funk” promises to deliver “a Passover message that reaches Jews from all backgrounds and ages with the joy, relevance and meaning of Judaism.”

With clever lyrics (“Jews wrote the hallelujah / Jews wrote the hallelujah / ‘Cause Pesach funk gon’ give it to you”) and slick choreography (including break dancing), the video featuring singer-actor Michael HarPaz has attracted more than 488,000 views in its first week online.

The video was directed and produced by Jeremy Horowitz of Top Shelf Productions.

Lyrics include “Seder tonight and we saved you a spot / Don’t be slavin’ just nosh.”

Last year, the New York-based group released “Chozen,” a parody of “Frozen,” complete with a mangled introduction by John Travolta.

In 2013, Six13 turned the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis hit “Thrift Shop” into “Pesach Shop” as a tribute to Passover.

Passover, the Jewish commemoration of liberation from slavery in Egypt, begins at sundown on April 3 and lasts until April 11.
