Police are investigating a high speed chase in Virginia that ended with officers taking a driver into custody on Tuesday.

The chase started during morning rush hour traffic in the area of Interstate 95 and the Fairfax County Parkway near Lorton.

Aerial pictures broadcast by ABC show the driver of the pick-up truck racing away from police and onto the Fairfax County Parkway.

The driver is eventually trapped by police patrol cars and officers can be seen breaking the vehicle’s side window to gain access to the truck.

The driver is then pulled from the vehicle and taken into custody.

The name of the driver and the reason for the chase have not been released by Fairfax County Police.
