Mainland Hearing provides a free online hearing test, which also can help people determine whether they need a follow-up with an audiologist like Fisch.
And if they do, she’s able to have meetings with patients through a virtual doctor’s clinic app.
It’s estimated one in three people suffer from hearing loss – and this virtual house call is just one way she’s hoping to get them diagnosed earlier.
“Recent research has shown that people wait an average of 7-10 years when they suspect they might have hearing loss before they come in for treatment,” says Fisch.
