Saskatchewan’s finance minister, Ken Krawetz, is trading in his usual black dress shoes for a new style ahead of Wednesday’s provincial budget.
“They’re not only a bit tight like the budget will be, but they’re a break from tradition,” Krawetz said. “That might be what the budget will also do.”
NDP finance critic Trent Wotherspoon presented the opposition’s choice of footwear for the finance minister – a tuxedo-style pair with the soles cut out.
“We need more substance from this government,” Wotherspoon said. “With all the focus on vanity projects … it’s time this government starts focusing on what matters to Saskatchewan families.”
