SASKATOON – Snuggle up in your bunnyhug and grab a glass of Vi-Co. A new video from Insightrix Research shows just how well they know Saskatchewan and the Prairies, all while having a bit of fun with some terms and phrases unique to the province.

“Well, truth is the grids could use some work eh.” In the video called SaskatcheWHAT?! we see a focus group of Saskatchewanians subtitled to ensure the world can understand all of the local terms.

It has gained the attention of the internet, with over 230,000 views in less than two weeks from over 140 countries.

“It just goes to show people from Saskatchewan they move around all over the place,” says Colin McHattie of Insightrix Research, “but you can take them out of Saskatchewan, but you can’t take the Saskatchewan out of them. And they are just loving it.”

The video is part of this months new Insightrix Research poll about being from Saskatchewan. January’s poll was on health, and last month they released data about intimacy in Saskatchewan.

The company didn’t plan on the video gaining such viral attention, but are glad that the video has picked up online to show just what they are about.

“We work all throughout Canada and we’ve done lots of work in Manitoba and Alberta and everywhere. But you know our speciality is Saskatchewan. We’re from Saskatchewan, we love being from Saskatchewan and this just is part of that.”
