TORONTO – A woman was killed Wednesday evening after being hit by a truck on Markham Road.
The woman, believed to be in her 40s, was struck just before 5 p.m. on Markham Road near Finch Avenue.
The road is closed both ways at Finch Avenue and police are asking people to avoid the area.
It’s not clear what led to the collision.

Police are investigating and the area could be closed for several hours as police recreate the scene.
