KELOWNA — A warning to parents from Kelowna RCMP as a result of an incident involving the attempted luring of a young boy.
Kelowna RCMP say a man tried the lure the 10-year-old boy last Thursday afternoon at about 2:30 when he was riding his scooter near Gramiak Road and Mary Court.
“The suspect asked the boy if he wanted to talk and stated his house was just down the street. The boy ignored him and the man asked if they could meet later,” says Cst. Kris Clark.
He says the man may have been seen in the area of the Springvalley schools earlier that day.
The man was last seen heading eastbound on Saskatoon Road.
He’s believed to be between 40-50 years of age, thin build with a greying moustache.
