Man dies after suspicious incident near Eglinton and Laird

TORONTO – Toronto police say a man in his 60s has died following a suspicious incident at a residential neighbourhood near Eglinton and Laird early Thursday morning.

Police received a call just after midnight on Thomas Elgie Drive to find the man on the sidewalk without vital signs.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say the man was stabbed but they are not looking for suspects.

They are treating it as a suspicious death and are investigating whether it could have been accidental.

The identity and age of the victim has not been released.
