EDMONTON – The body of a missing Edson, Alberta man was found Thursday in a B.C. river.

Members of the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team along with local RCMP and Golden & District Search and Rescue recovered the body of Taylor Oelrich from the Columbia River near the Old Mill site in Golden, B.C.

Oelrich was last seen on Sunday, Feb. 15. by a friend outside the lodge they were staying in near Golden, B.C.

“We are now working with the BC Coroner’s Service to investigate the circumstances of Taylor Oelrich’s death,” states Const. Spencer Lainchbury, Golden-Field RCMP. “However at this time we do not suspect foul play.”

Police are asking anyone with information regarding Oelrich’s disappearance or death to contact them at 250-344-2221.
