Crime Stoppers ask for public’s help in solving Christmas Eve home invasion

WATCH: Crime Stoppers wants your help to find the person who committed this violent and cowardly act.

RCMP are asking for the public’s help in finding the person who attacked an elderly couple during a brutal Christmas Eve home invasion in Richmond.

Police say a 76-year-old woman answered the door of a home in 6000-block of Nanika Crescent to find a man with a scarf covering his face.

The suspect allegedly forced his way into the house, striking the woman repeatedly. Her 81-year-old husband heard her screams and came to help and was also attacked.

The couple was then bound and RCMP say the suspect stole a small amount of cash before fleeing the scene.

The man is described as Caucasian, 5’10” with a stocky build. He was wearing a blue hoodie and beige work gloves.
