REGINA – If you are in a relationship in Saskatchewan, the odds of you doing ‘extracurricular activities’ on Valentine’s Day have greatly increased.

According to a new poll by Insightrix Research Inc., 32 per cent of Saskatchewanians who are in a romantic relationship plan on ‘doing the deed’ on Valentine’s Day this year.

Only 23 per cent of people report having sex at least once a week so Valentine’s Day should improve your chances.

30 per cent of both men and women said that a massage before sex was a huge turn on for them, while some women also enjoy reading romance novels to get their engines revved up.

When it comes to purchasing gifts on V-Day, men are more likely to get their significant other something special with 45 per cent of females getting flowers, 30 per cent receiving a romantic meal and 17 per cent receiving jewelry.

Men plan to spend (on average) $80.77 for a Valentine’s Day gift.

Females usually go a different route for gifts ,with 19 per cent of men receiving gift cards, 16 per cent getting clothing, 43 per cent receiving chocolates, and 39 per cent getting a card.

Saskatchewan ladies plan on spending an average of $56.35.

More good news in the province: 70 per cent of married couples would marry their spouse all over again if they had the chance.
