Firefighters say it started with smoke coming through the ventilation system and then flames were spotted in the pool house.

It’s possible the fire started in an air exchange unit or in a furnace and that’s where the investigation will focus.

The flames were out by 9:00 pm.

No one was injured.

The motel itself did not have to be evacuated because the pool house where the fire occurred is a separate structure.
