Sound-off: A topless woman in a newspaper?

TORONTO – The Toronto Sun was going to break new ground on Friday when it was – reportedly – planning to unveil its first topless Sunshine Girl.

The Sunshine Girl – a staple of Quebecor newspapers – is a photo of a scantily clad girl on the second last page.

Mike Strobel, a columnist for The Toronto Sun, wrote in a column that the newspaper should show topless photos of women in order to make men smarter. He writes, “Imagine how quick-witted you’d be if the SUNshine Girl was topless like the Page 3 Girls of our British namesake.”
